The A-Z's of getting started and getting excited about RESEARCH

We will have presentations from: former Grant winners, representatives from offices who award grants, and other student organizations focusing on research like Engineering Students w/o Borders, Student Entrepreneurs for Economic Development, and the Undergraduate Research Network.
And, if you are interested in getting involved in development, but don't have a project in mind, we will have information about opportunities to get out in the field--specifically through ASB and the International Studies Offices.
The meeting will close with a breakout session during which you can talk to any speakers that piqued your interest--this is all about you guys, so if there is something you want to know about research at the University, feel free to bring it up! - Thursday, October 23rd, 6-7 pm: How to Write an Effective Research Paper
Find out helpful tips and tricks for that paper you need to write! A student panel, including members of the Oculus editorial staff, will help answer your questions!

Come to this workshop to find out about one of the most popular and eagerly-sought grants at UVA: the Harrison Grant. Ask questions from students who have won the award in the past. If you want, you can bring in your application for critique!
