It is an auspicious time for the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, and we build on an enviable position. Our fundamentals are strong, and they uniquely position us to become one of the very best universities in the country – public or private.
As we imagine Arts & Sciences ten years from now, much will look familiar – our relative size, outstanding faculty invested in the full range of research and discovery, first-rate students, and an intimate undergraduate experience that takes advantage of a world-class research university. Other aspects will be new: new classrooms, laboratories, and common spaces, new faculty, new programs, and new leadership in American higher education.
