Support the South Asia Center

The South Asia Center greatly appreciates your tax-deductible contribution to our program. In a small center like ours, even the smallest donation can benefit our students and faculty. Here are some things we have done and can continue to do with your support:

• We host and co-sponsor lectures by nationally and internationally recognized writers and scholars on South Asia topics.


• We bring award winning films to Charlottesville with our co-sponsorship of the Traveling South Asia film festival (2006 and 2008).


• We co-sponsor South Asian musical and dance events with the Music department and Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY).


• We acquire videos and DVDs on South Asia related topics that we lend out to students and faculty at UVA and to educators in the Southeastern United States free of charge.
