Religious Ethics; Social and Political Ethics; Biomedical Ethics; Methods in Ethics.
My research currently focuses on two major areas: (1) biomedical ethics, with particular attention to theory and method, religion and bioethics, and public bioethics, and (2) just-war theory and pacifism. My teaching includes undergraduate courses on biomedical ethics and on religion and public policy, and graduate seminars on love and justice in Christian ethics, just-war theory and pacifism, and legal and ethical reasoning in public policy.
