UVA Flute Ensemble Fall Concert

On Tuesday evening, December 2, the UVA Flute Ensemble will present its Fall Concert in Garrett Hall. The concert will be at 8 pm.

The Ensemble is directed by Alan Cox, & its members are Amanda Brody, Lauren Dibara, Jennifer Kellett, Mary Anne Kidwell, Christine Meng, Danielle Murashige, Arin Noble, Mickey Vetter, & Suzie Wright.

The program will feature works for multiple flutes, including piccolos, alto flutes, & the bass flute, as well as regular C flutes. The pieces will be Tico Tico, arranged by Trevor Wye, a Bach Toccata, Satie’s Trois Gnossienes, Bolcom’s rag fantasy The Poltergeist, Albinoni’s ever popular Adagio, & one of the great masterpieces for multiple flutes, the Kuhlau Quartet in E Major.
