Concert Band

The University of Virginia Concert Band, conducted by Drew Koch, is composed of dedicated students from every division and department within the University. At the end of the spring semester, they present a free, family-friendly concert in the Amphitheatre. Bring a picnic and celebrate the end of school while listening to old standards, pop and concertos.

The Concert Band is an eighty- to ninety-member ensemble that meets solely during the Spring semester. Music selections include standard band literature, pop music, and concertos with special guest artists. Members of the band stay involved in making music in a concert ensemble setting while exploring both new literature and old favorites.
