The University of Virginia, McIntire Department of Music, seeks candidates for a one-year, non-renewable position in ethnomusicology, beginning August 25, 2012.Responsibilities include two courses per semester andgraduate advising. This is an 83.33% appointment as Lecturer with salary of $45,000 plus benefits.Ph.D. or equivalent in ethnomusicology or related field is required.Specialization is open, but courses will include MUSI 1070 (Global Music), MUSI 3070 (Introduction to Musical Ethnography), MUSI 4526 (Topics in Ethnomusicology, undergraduate seminar), and MUSI 7526 (Topics in Ethnomusicology, graduate seminar).
