UVA Wind Ensemble with the UVA Concert Band

The University of Virginia McIntire Department of Music is pleased to announce the Spring Concert of the UVA Wind Ensemble on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at 3:30pm in Old Cabell Hall.

The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. William Pease and assistant director Andrew Koch, features 50 of the University's top performers from every school at the University. The ensemble will present a program of contemporary works, including Foundry, Rocky Point Holiday, and two movements from Concerto for Wind Ensemble by Steven Bryant. The Wind Ensemble will be joined by the UVA Concert Band, conducted by Andrew Koch and Duane Coston. The Concert Band will perform a wide range of pieces, from the themes of Star Trek to Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Tickets for the Wind Ensemble Concert at 3:30pm on Sunday, April 28 are $10 for the General Public, $5 for Students, and free for UVA Students who reserve at least 24 hours in advance.
