Entrepreneurship

In today's knowledge-driven economy, U.Va. is committed to fostering an entrepreneurial climate in which technologies are cultivated to address real-world solutions.  If you have a product, invention, or an idea that you wish to market, please visit the Office of Economic Development to learn about resources that support innovation, both within and outside the University.

In 2008, the Virginia Entrepreneurial Society, a student-run organization, was created to foster a culture of collaboration, interdisciplanary thinking, and action for new ventures. All graduate students are invited to join the E*Society and subscribe to its listserv.

Graduate students should also note that the Batten Institute at the U.Va. Darden School of Business encourages graduate students to participate in the Institute’s U.Va. community-wide programs, such as the annual Business Concept Competition and Business Plan Competition, as well as its public speaker events.
