What Students Say

Great advice on playing up/emphasizing graduate student skills!

I feel much more confident after getting feedback from you and making all of the changes!

I just found out that the provost accepted my terms, so I am an assistant professor at [a private university in the Northeast], which should be official in a couple of days. Thanks for all your help. It made a big difference in my interviewing. The mock interview helped me prepare for the conversations with the department chairs and the deans. The interview seemed surprisingly easy, in part because the questions were familiar.

I got the job [at the private school in Northern Virginia]! You’ve been more valuable and helpful to me than any professor I’ve ever had. Twenty years from now, you’re the one I’m going to remember. Thank you.

I got a job in DC.  I'm working for an economic consulting firm.  I really want to let you know I appreciated every minute of your help.  Thanks again!

I’m in the middle of deciding between the academic job market and alternatives, so it has just been good to think through these things and hear about other paths.
