The University of Virginia's Department of French is pleased to announce its Summer Language Institute for 2011. Learn 4 semesters of French in an 8-week near immersion program of study. Discover how fun and exciting it can be to learn a language in this intense and intensely rewarding experience!

You will acquire language competence in the fastest and most effective way, and in only 8 weeks you will earn 12 credits (French 1010, 1020, 2010, and 2020).

Moreover, in our high-tech, ever-shrinking world, the knowledge and skills that come from learning a language are invaluable. The ability to speak French could help you network professionally, could set you apart from other job applicants, or could even help land you in a Francophone country.
