Nice

My year in Nice was particularly rich in terms of cultural and travel opportunities. In my free time I frequently visited the Chagall and Matisse museums, jogged along the Promenade des Anglais, visited the open air markets, attended the opera, and ate at some of the best restaurants in Nice. Weekend excursions included visits to the medieval town of Eze, walks around Cap Ferat, and glimpses at the lavish life styles in Monaco and Cannes. Other highlights included experiencing my first Corrida in Arles, hiking in the breathtaking Vall de Verdun and the lower Alpes, and taking the ferry to Corsica. The proximity of Italy provided me much opportunity to improve my Italian. I came home revived and renewed from a year of incredible sights and experiences.
