* Econ 5090 is an intensive, 2 1/2 week course completed in August.

Core exams are taken in June, after the first year.

1. Research Methods in Economics (Econ 8991)

2. At least one other 3-credit course - either an econ workshop or another course related to your interests. If you choose to take a related course, you must also, informally, fulfill requirements for a two-semester workshop.

3. Econ 9998, Non-topical research
