Remove existing Contribute connections

1. Open Contribute on your desktop and log in using your Eservices user ID and password. (What is my password?)

   

2. Select "Edit" in the toolbar, and then select "My Connections...".

   

3. A window will open that displays your current connections.
   Select any publishing server that appears in the window and is listed below:

   • https://128.143.21.229:8900/contribute
   • https://asweb.clas.virginia.edu:8900/contribute
   • https://cps.clas.virginia.edu:8900/contribute
   
   Note: If a publishing server appears in your "My Connections" window that is not listed above, contact your LSP before removing it.

   

4. Once you have selected the server listing click the "Remove" button. Repeat this step as necessary to remove any of the servers listed above.

   

5. A dialog box will ask you if you would like to remove the item.
   Click "Yes".

   

6. Close the "My Connections" box.

   

Set up a Contribute Connection

1. Open Contribute on your desktop.
   If there are no connections already set up on your computer you will see the Contribute start page with "about:startpage" in the address bar.

   

2. Enter "connect:cps.clas.virginia.edu" in the address bar.

   

3. Press the "Enter" key, or click the "Go" button.

   

4. A dialog box will appear asking for a user name and password.
   1. Enter your Eservices user ID and password. (More information on Eservices accounts is available)
   2. Click "OK".
