Cross-listed Courses

A course may be cross-listed under more than one mnemonic or level (refer to the Cross-listed Courses List to learn which courses.)

Only one section of a cross-listed course may be taken for degree credit. Level 500 or higher cross-listed sections are normally reserved for graduate students and College students may not enroll in them without the permission of the Graduate School. One course (including cross-listed courses such as AAS 101 and HIAF 203) may simultaneously meet no more than two area requirements; it may also satisfy the second writing requirement. Courses taken to fulfill the area and second writing requirements, with the exception of foreign language courses through the 202 level, may be counted toward a first or second major or toward a minor.
