Helping Hand Scholarships

Award

Varying numbers of awards of varying dollar amounts.

Purpose

For second and third year College students who have outstanding academic achievement and a record of outstanding service to their fellow human beings.

Eligibility

For second or third year College students who are currently receiving need-based aid through Student Financial Services and have outstanding academic achievement and a record of outstanding service.

You may apply for more than one Dean's Scholarship, but you must fill out a separate application for each one.You may use the same Letter of Recommendation for multiple applications, though a separate copy is needed for each. Letters must be CONFIDENTIAL - with a signature across the seal.You may submit the same essay only if the essay question for the scholarships is the same.

The application essay (double spaced, in print, not by email or fax) and recommendation letter should be submitted to Assistant Dean Shawn Lyons, College of Arts and Sciences, 103 Monroe Hall.
