Free U.Va. Student Tickets

Reservations can be made online and end at 11:59 pm the day before an event or when the allocation of complimentary tickets is exhausted. Free U.Va. student tickets are not available at the door or on the day of an event and cannot be exchanged for alternate dates.

Events:

• The Department of Drama produces six productions each academic year, and all performances offer free student tickets.
• The McIntire Department of Music hosts over 100 events each year, and most performances offer free student tickets.
• The Virginia Film Festival is held over four days in the fall of each year, and many events offer free student tickets.
• Not all events offer free U.Va. student tickets.  To purchase tickets, please restart your web browser and click on the buy tickets button at www.artsboxoffice.virginia.edu  If you wish to purchase tickets and reserve free U.Va. student tickets in the same transaction, please visit or call the Arts Box Office at 924-3376.

Information:

All full-time enrolled, degree-seeking U.Va. students can reserve one complimentary ticket for every performance of each eligible event. This includes undergraduate students in any school and graduate students in any school, including Medical, Law, and Darden students; and all students enrolled in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Student tickets are not transferable, and U.Va. students must present their student ID at the Arts Box Office, or at the venue box office, in order to pick up their ticket. Free U.Va. student tickets that are not picked up at least thirty minutes before an event may be released to allow other patrons at the door the opportunity to purchase tickets. U.Va. students must present their ticket and student ID at the door for admission.

Discounts:

U.Va. students also receive free admission to exhibitions and programs at the McIntire Department of Art and a free student membership to the U.Va. Art Museum good for free admission to the Final Fridays Receptions.
